How much time should I devote to my online class?

To ensure your success, it is important to work on your online course daily. You should plan to spend at least 1 to 2 hours per day on your course for successful completion. There is a pacing guide that displays on the student’s dashboard to help guide a student’s progress- We can alter this pacing to personalize for your time from of completion.

We offer teacher office hours and open study hall to help students with their courses.

I'm concerned about privacy. What is your Privacy Policy?

Are the classes really tuition free?

Yes and No.

Is Greenways Academy an accredited school?

Yes, our accreditations are Cognia and WASC.

How much do classes cost?

Regular One Semester Class – $425 each.
Regular Two Semester or Full-year Class – $599 each.
Honors Class (one semester) – $550 each.
Honors Class (full-year) – $660 each.
AP Class (one semester) – $660 each.
AP Class (full-year) – $799 each.

Dual Enrollment – $799 each.

*Please note – A convenience fee of 5% is automatically added to the total to expedite our back office processing and checkout process.

This includes a certified teacher and office hours plus study hall and advisory.

Summer school courses are discounted by 25%. Summer school classes are not part of the tuition free program.

As a parent, how can I monitor my child’s progress?

When a student portal is created for your child, a separate guardian portal is created for you. It’s a separate login where you can track your child’s progress. That login information will be emailed to the email address you provide at checkout.

Do you have an enrollment deadline?

  • We have a rolling enrollment.
  • Students can enroll anytime and work on their classes at any time except:
  • Summer school 2024 begins on May 27th and classes must be completed by August 16th.
  • Students who participate in the tuition free programs are subject to the calendar of our partner school district.
  • The Washington 2024-2025 school year starts on August 27th and ends on June 12th.
  • The Oregon 2024-2025 school year starts on September 3rd and ends on June 12th.
  • The Missouri 2024-2025 school year starts on August 20th and ends on May 16th.
  • Enrollment is cut off at the discretion of the partner district. Classes must be completed by the end of the school year for the district.

Are there specific hours when students are required to work?

Our program is asynchronous. Students can work at any time.

How do the students and teachers communicate?

Teachers and students communicate via email. Students are also welcome to attend a live virtual meeting with their teacher during their weekly office hour. That schedule is available in the student portal once the student is enrolled.

How does Greenways Academy adjust their courses for each students needs?

With One-on-one teaching, Greenways Academy Teachers are able to accommodate each student’s unique learning style. Courses can be modified as required for students with an IEP or 504 Plan.

Can I earn a diploma from Greenways Academy?

Yes you can!

What are the graduation requirements?

Is a Greenways Academy diploma the same as other high schools?

Yes. Our Cognia and WASC accreditations are recognized by colleges and universities worldwide.

Can a student take courses at Greenways Academy while enrolled in another school at the same time?

Yes, as an accredited school, Greenways credits can be transferred to other high schools. We offer full-time, part-time or course-by-course enrollment. Credits being used toward graduation at another high school should be reviewed and approved by that school prior to enrolling in Greenways Academy.

How many hours of tutoring does a full time student usually need?

Generally, we find our full-time students who come to the St. Louis study center are working with tutors between 8 and 15 hours per week. Since each student is different, the amount of tutoring needed to complete the work will vary. Adjustments to tutoring schedules can be made at any time.

Are there specific hardware requirements for the online class?

  • Students enrolled in Rosetta Stone World Language classes will need a USB headset.
