Additionally, cybersecurity specialists monitor networks for suspicious activity and respond swiftly to breaches to minimize damage and protect sensitive information.

Section One
In this section students learn about computer hardware and maintenance, data management and storage options, network systems, administration, and troubleshooting. Then they dive into word processing, spreadsheets, and databases to cement their knowledge of information technology!

Section Two
In this section, students will explore the high-demand field of cybersecurity. First, they will learn about information security, hackers, viruses, spyware, network systems, identifying vulnerabilities, protecting against attacks, and creating disaster response plans. They will understand the critical role of a security specialist in preventing cyberattacks. Next, students will delve into advanced topics such as cyber forensics, encryption, cryptography, user and password management, and other security issues. They will discover what it takes to manage large data breaches and mitigate threats in an increasingly interconnected world. This course prepares students for a dynamic career in cybersecurity, where they can help keep individuals and organizations safe.
Section Three
In this section, students will take on the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing data networks. First, they will explore cryptology, keys, certificates, and risk assessment to keep networks safe. They will learn to mitigate and manage risks, working with key stakeholders to enhance security and disaster response. Next, students will focus on data security in the workplace, mitigating cyber threats, and making decisions about access and authentication protocols. They will study real-world security breaches, solutions, and steps to set up robust security policies. This course prepares students to protect sensitive data and outsmart cyber attackers, equipping them for a dynamic career in cybersecurity.
