In this section, students will explore the fast-paced and exciting world of marketing and what it means for business success. First, students will learn the role of marketings in business, identify how to target markets, perform market research, and develop successful marketing strategies. Students will also discover legal and ethical considerations of marketing along with the impact of government on business. Then, students will dig deeper into the world of marketing by exploring branding, advertising, promotion strategies, and more, through real-world applications and practices. Students will also learn about effective sales techniques and career opportunities in this exciting field.
Section Three
In this section, students will hone their attention to the world of sports and entertainment marketing. First, students will trace the development of these industries, dissect their dual nature, and discover what it takes to pitch, promote, and deliver on these services. Students will also explore their own potential career path. Then, students will continue to build their understanding of the different roles and levels of marketing as they explore modern marketing methods professionals use to take an event concept and make it successful. Students will also learn key industry terminology and touchpoints with the help of HR.

Section Four
In this final section of their Career Ready Academy, students will participate in a virtual hotel internship program which will enable them to gain a better understanding of the workplace environment. They’ll learn how to communicate with others, manage their time, work with a team, take initiative, set goals, problem-solve, and prepare for their first professional job experience.
Students will engage in the fast-paced and exciting world of sports and entertainment. They’ll learn how to handle promotions, ticket pricing, stadium operations and staffing, sponsors, concessions, concert booking, and more. They’ll figure out how to make hard business decisions that go into the sports and entertainment events they enjoy in real life. They’ll end their internship experience with an exciting end-of-year culminating project.
